I purchased this (since I actually have an iPhone now), and I have to say there are some definite issues. Trying to adjust the number of ships to build seems to be hit or miss (mostly miss), and it will often change once you lift your finger. The evacuate planet is extremely small and hard to select as well. And moving ships seems to suffer from the same lifting the finger issue, I will have a ship I am sending to a planet, and when I lift my finger, the path disappears. In addition, ugly planets that I am strip mining will magically say the next turn that you are terraforming a planet that will never be profitable. What? I didn't touch anywhere near there, and it self adjusted (I have notice this happening with some of my other planets that I have adjusted to change the balance of terraforming and mining as well, basically the balance has been changed without me having adjusted it). This actually worked a lot better on my old Sony Clie than it does on my iPhone :-(

Just for the record, I don't seem to have the touch and lift issue with other games on my iPhone.

(And yes, I still have my Spaceward Ho! Floppy disks for the Mac, from version 1.12 to version 3.02, and the CD for version 4).

Hey Craig,

Sorry you are having issues with the iPhone version. I don't think I've see
the behavior of when sending to a planet the fleet not moving. With the
"build ships", I know it is hard to get just 1-2 when you have lots of
money. We will be making a change to add back in +/- (as well as keep the
slider)

For the evacuate the planet, we will make it larger so it is easier to hit.

I haven't seen the change of the terraforming happen to any games that I've
played. If you can find out more how it is happening that would be great.

I will also send you an invite to the Beta list if you are interested, and
we can have you test out some of the changes and then also hopefully track
down what the issue is with the terraforming and other dragging problems.

Yes, I would be happy to be on the beta list (I beta'd the Palm version). The issue with the fleet not moving is I drag it to a planet, I can see the fleet path, but as soon as I lift my finger from the screen, the path disappears. I have learned to be very careful to double check the fleet is actually scheduled.

My problem with the build ship is even getting the slider to respond at all (the getting just one or two or a particular number is also a problem, once I can get the slider to actually realize I am pointing to it). And it is sometimes a challenge to bring up the fleet window or build window (seems to miss where I am tapping, and selects another planet or deselects everything).
